High School Pre-Season Camp

The Sabercat Hockey Program will be offering an eight (8) week intensive pre-season skills training camp for incoming Freshman that will attend Castle View, Douglas County or Rock Canyon High Schools and returning Sabercat Hockey players.

Ages

What aged players are appropriate for this program?

Eligible Attendees: Male and Female players that will be enrolled in grades 9 thru 12 and attend Castle View, Douglas County or Rock Canyon High Schools or that will attend online school or home school and live in the DC, CV or Rock Canyon districts.

When

What time of the year does this program run?

The camp will start the first week of June and run through mid-August. There will be no camp during the July 4th week.

Where

Where are practices and games typically held?

Practices and off-ice workouts will be held at the Family Sports Center or the South Suburban Sports Center.

Additional goalie training will be held at the Mountain High Hockey Goalie Club facility.

Practices

When are practices and how often are they?

Teams practice 3 times per week on the ice and have 2 professionally lead off-ice gym workouts at The Drill House. Goalies also receive extra training sessions weekly, with Mountain High Hockey Goalie Club.

Uniforms

Are Jerseys and workout apparel provided or are they purchased separately?

Each camp attendee will receive a Sabercat Hockey practice jersey, 2 Sabercat Hockey athletic t-shirts and 1 pair of Sabercat Hockey athletic shorts included in the cost of the camp.

The ACES Hockey Academy Coaching Staff

ACES has provided top-tier hockey skill development for several years throughout the Colorado hockey community and we are thrilled to invite their coaches back for another summer. The ACES coaches will be joining our players on the ice one session per week throughout the entire Summer Program.

Professional Goalie Coaches from Mountain High Hockey Goalie Club

We will be partnering with the premier goalie training group; Mountain High Hockey Goalie Club again this summer. Professional goalie coaches will be joining our goalies on the ice for specialized goalie training once per week throughout the summer.

Professional Off-Ice Strength and Conditioning

Sabercat Hockey is extremely excited to partner with Drill House Sports Center for our athletes' off-ice training again this Summer. Located inside of Family Sports Center, Drill House will provide our athletes with a top-notch off-ice strength and conditioning program in a spacious and convenient location.

Every player registered for the 2024 Sabercat Hockey Summer Program will receive:

3 on-ice skills training sessions per week

2 off-ice training sessions per week

A Sabercat Hockey practice jersey

1 pair of Sabercat Hockey athletic shorts

On and off-ice skill development from some of the best skills coaches in Colorado


Athletes will be grouped by their age and ability for off-ice training in order to maximize the individual athlete's results.
