Welcome to the 2024-2025 Lady Sabercats CPHL Tryout Registration with the Sabercat Hockey Program!

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, or ACH checking account information available.

Ages

What aged players are appropriate for this program?

Eligible Players: Female players that are enrolled in grades 9 thru 12 and attend High School in Douglas County or attend online or home school and reside in Douglas County

When

What time of the year does this program run?

The season begins with tryouts in August and runs until playoffs in March.

There are no "off" weeks during the CPHL season. Practices and games can occur during school holidays and during Fall and Winter Breaks.

Where

Where are practices and games typically held?

Practices and home games are held at the Family Sports Center, South Suburban Sports Center or The Ice Ranch. Games may be played across the metro region.

Practices

When are practices and how often are they?

Teams practice 3 times per week on the ice. Goalies also receive 2 extra training sessions per month with Mountain High Hockey Goalie Club.

Games

How many games will they play? What days of the week?

The Lady Sabercats will play in one local pre-season tournament, one local in-season tournaments and three out of state in-season tournaments. They will have 16 regular season games plus games against Boys Tier 1, JV and CU Boulder Women's teams. The total number of games is 50-60 games.

Jerseys

Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?

Team uniforms consisting of home and away jerseys, pant shells and socks are provided and included in the team fees. Custom team gloves, player's bag and helmet stickers are also provided and included in the team fees. 

Players are required to provide their own black helmet with cage, all required protective gear, skates and stick at their own cost

Additional Training Offered

What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?

Goalie Training: Twice Monthly training sessions in addition to normal team ice practices provided by Mountain High Hockey Goalie Club.

Mental Toughness Training:Professionally guided sessions and integrated training using psychological principals of human performance to help our players consistently perform in the upper range of their capabilities and more thoroughly enjoy the performance process.

Nutrition Education and Consulting: Professional guided sessions to teach our players the impact and importance of proper nutrition to maximize performance professionally lead by Altitude Sports and Performance Nutrition. 1on1 nutrition consulting is also offered on an ad-hoc basis.

Extra Costs

The players may be required to purchase a set of team workout gear that is usually less than $200.00

Costs related to local travel and out of state travel are not included in team fees and are the responsibility of the player.

Families should plan for hotel costs for 3-4 nights, round trip airfare and meal costs for their player and any traveling family members for each out of state tournament. Travel details will be provided at the season information meetings.

Welcome to the 2024-2025 Sabercat Hockey Program Lady Sabercats Registration

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information and sign up for participation. As part of your Sabercat Hockey registration, you are required to have an up to date USA Hockey registration for the 2024-2025 season. The Registration will only accept a 2024-2025 USA Hockey Number. 

Registration Process

1. Player Registration with Sabercat Hockey

PLAYERS SHOULD REMOVE ALL HELMET DECALS BEFORE TRYOUTS

   1. All players are required to register with Sabercat Hockey even if player played for a Castle View team last season.

        Players in 9th-12th grade are eligible for tryouts. Teams are registered as 19U to allow for all players to be eligible on all teams.

    2. Registration link is provided at the bottom.

    3. Player will need to complete USA Hockey registration and have a valid 2024-2025 USA Hockey Number when registering.

    4. Tryout Fee $100.00. Non-Refundable.

    5. Registration will require the creation of a Crossbar user account. 

    6. Registration will include a $500.00 deposit fee for both returning and new players. Players that do not make a team and are released will have their deposit's returned. 

 Registration with the DCSD is not required for the USA Hockey Sabercat Hockey Program Teams.
